Hotel Ranga is a luxury countryside hotel and the only 4 star resort in South Iceland. It offers all the facilities and services of a modern resort. It lies just off the main road right in middle of South Iceland’s panoramic scenery.
Venue Overview
The resort is built in log-cabin style and has through the years acquired an excellent reputation for its food, accommodation and service. It is the first Icelandic hotel to become a member of the prestigious international hotel chain Great Hotels of the World.
A celebrity hot spot, top honeymoon destination and favorite hotel among Icelanders, Hotel Rangá also offers great facilities for small business meetings, weddings and social gatherings.
One cannot miss feeling welcome entering its warm interior where relaxed countryside feeling meets the professional ambition of pleasing its entire clientele. Upon entering Hotel Ranga, you will be greeted by a towering 10-foot tall polar bear named Hrammur that resides in the lobby. He is a favorite model for photographers and is definitely one of the most pictured objects in Iceland. This is just a prelude to the cozy ambiance that you will encounter that vibrates throughout the hotel.
Hótel Rangá was upgraded and renovated in 2007/2008 and presently has 51 luxuriously decorated rooms and suites. It also features an acclaimed riverside restaurant, a lounge and bar, 2 upstairs meeting rooms, a game room, massage facilities and three much beloved outdoor hot tubs heated with geothermal water - where there is an excellent chance to view the fantastic northern lights during September through April.

Standard Rooms - Hotel Rangá has 24 standard rooms that provide guests with comfortable stay. Size 18m². In this category there are five rooms with queen sized beds and 19 rooms with twin beds that can be put together on request, and most are equipped with Jacuzzis. The standard rooms face either the East Rangá River or the famous volcano Mt. Hekla.
Deluxe Rooms - For more comfort and luxury, Hotel Rangá has 20 Deluxe rooms. Size 26m². There are 18 rooms with king size beds and two rooms with twin size beds. The rooms either face the river, the outdoor Jacuzzis, or the Mt. Hekla volcano.
The Suites at Hotel Ranga - The themed suites at Hotel Rangá are truly one of a kind. Designed and themed after each of the seven continents, they provide guests with the ultimate comfort, luxury, relaxation, and experience that is, literally, a "world apart". Ranging in size from 40-74m², both the junior and master suites in the theme are designed and decorated with top notch authentic fashion, decor, artwork, fixture and furnishings coming exclusively from the respective continents. The theme is a unique concept offering "that little extra" for the discerning traveler. In addition, Hotel Rangá offers a Royal Master suite which is also known as the wedding suite.

Wedding Packages
Reykjavik Romance
- This package provided by Pink Iceland. One of their team members will act as your private wedding planner. They will advise on paperwork, locations within Reykjavík, share photos and videos of the location, talk to the minister and take care of arrangements.
- Minister - The cost for performing the ceremony, speaking with the couple beforehand about the ceremony & driving fee to location within Reykjavík.
- Paperwork - In addition to advising on how to fill out paperwork, Pink Iceland provides all necessary documents to the couple and after the ceremony will take the paperwork both to the ministry of foreign affairs and the national registry to have it internationally certified and in most cases can get rush-treatment if necessary.
- Champagne - Champagne toast after the ceremony with a large bottle of Moët + glasses.
- Pic Nic - An assortments of Icelandic chocolates & sweets, fruits, almonds...
- Transport A car fitting a wedding transport, with a private chauffeur, taking couple from their accommodation/spa/restaurant to the venue they have chosen and driving them back after the ceremony.
- Venue - Included in the price is a use of a venue.
- Give away - A Pink City Walk where you can enjoy a cup of coffee at a favorite cafe or a hot dog at Iceland's most famous hot dog stand. This would be a private tour, the guide and the couple only.

Country Romance
- This package provided by Pink Iceland. One of their team members will act as your private wedding planner. They will advise on paperwork, locations within Reykjavík, share photos and videos of the location, talk to the minister and take care of arrangements. As this is in the country about an hour-2 hours from Reykjavík, the wedding planner will be traveling with the couple for the full day.

- Photographer - Photographer that travels to the location, takes pictures during the ceremony, and at two extra locations. Included is the driving fee, the photo shoot, and a cd with pictures.
- Golden Circle - This combines Iceland's most popular tour and a photo shoot at magnificent powerful places like Gullfoss, the Golden waterfall, Geysir geothermal area & Thingvellir area.
- Give away - Private pick up and drop off to and from the airport upon landing. A member from the Pink Iceland team will meet the couple at the airport, have a sign with their name on it and drive the couple to their accommodation. Pick up around 3 hours before departure at accommodation and drop off at the airport. - This is available within the Reykjavík area.
